The Charlotte community is mourning the tragic death of Taylor Sylver following a fatal shooting early Thursday morning in the city’s NoDa neighborhood. Her passing has left family members, friends, and loved ones devastated as they struggle to process a life taken far too soon.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers responded shortly after 2 a.m. on May 21 to reports of a shooting in the 3200 block of North Davidson Street near East 35th Street. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries at the scene.

Emergency responders transported the victim to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center for urgent medical treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, she later died from her injuries. Around 5:30 a.m., CMPD confirmed that the case was being investigated as a homicide.

Although authorities did not immediately release the victim’s identity, friends and loved ones identified the woman on social media as Taylor Sylver. As news of her death spread, tributes and messages of heartbreak quickly began pouring in from people mourning the tragic loss.
