The community of East Palatka is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Kinley Danielle Langston, who passed away on May 7, 2026, at just 14 years old.

Born on March 21, 2012, in St. Augustine to Quincy Chase Langston and Christian Danielle Gibbs, Kinley was remembered by loved ones as a bright, compassionate, and joyful young girl whose warmth touched everyone around her.

Family and friends describe Kinley as someone with an infectious smile and a personality capable of lifting spirits even during difficult moments. Whether through laughter, kindness, or simple companionship, she had a unique way of making others feel valued and loved.

Family was central to Kinley’s life, especially the close bond she shared with her brothers, Brittan and Finn. Loved ones recalled her protective and caring nature toward her younger brother Finn, while also remembering the playful sibling connection she shared with Brittan.

Kinley also had a deep love for animals, particularly her beloved cats Tinkerbell, Biscuit, and Tigger. She found happiness in simple moments — searching for glass bottles along the river, spending time at the beach, building Legos, and enjoying time with family and friends.

Creativity played a major role in her life as well. She loved making jewelry, listening to music, and expressing herself through her unique personality. Friends and family fondly remember her singing loudly with her AirPods in, carefree and full of joy. She especially loved the color green, flowers, plants, Hello Kitty, sweets, chocolate, and Red Bull.

Despite her young age, Kinley left a lasting impression on many people around her. Those who knew her describe her as genuine, compassionate, and deeply caring — someone who invested wholeheartedly in the people she loved.

Her passing has prompted an outpouring of grief and remembrance throughout the community, with many sharing memories of her laughter, kindness, and vibrant spirit.

Kinley was preceded in death by her aunt, Destini Gibbs. Along with her parents and brothers, she leaves behind grandparents, extended family members, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends, including her best friend, Virginia Beahn, all of whom continue to cherish the memories she created during her life.

As loved ones continue to mourn this unimaginable loss, many are reflecting on the importance of compassion, connection, and supporting one another through life’s unseen struggles.

May Kinley Danielle Langston rest in peace.
