The Grain Valley, Missouri community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Teagan Alivia Leonard, who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 19. Family, friends, and loved ones are mourning the sudden loss of a young woman whose warmth, intelligence, and compassionate spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Teagan was cherished by her parents, Vincent and Shauna Leonard, and shared a close bond with her brothers, Gavin and Gage Leonard. She also had a deep and meaningful friendship with Aishwarya “Ash” Aryal, who was like a sister to her, and a loving relationship with her boyfriend, Eli Hernandez. Those who knew Teagan remember her for her quiet strength, kindness, and the thoughtful way she cared for others.
Despite her young age, Teagan had already accomplished significant milestones. She earned her CNA and Esthetician licenses and was actively pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse. Her determination, focus, and ambition inspired those around her, and she approached every goal with passion and dedication.
Teagan enjoyed life’s adventures, from traveling and exploring new foods to spending quiet moments with her beloved cats, especially Moose, whom she adored. Friends and family remember her for the joy, laughter, and love she brought into everyday moments, whether through small acts of thoughtfulness or sharing new experiences with those she cherished.
She is survived by her parents, Vincent and Shauna Leonard; her brothers, Gavin and Gage; Ash Aryal; her grandmothers, Janice Smith and Patricia Leonard; her boyfriend, Eli Hernandez; and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Garry Smith and Roger Leonard.
Visitation will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, Missouri, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 p.m., where friends and family will gather to honor and remember the remarkable young life of Teagan Alivia Leonard.
