The community of Aledo is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Brayden Martin, a 14-year-old eighth-grade student at Aledo Middle School who tragically lost his life in an ATV crash on the evening of May 20, 2026.
According to local authorities, the fatal crash occurred around 8:40 p.m. along San Jacinto Drive west of Fort Worth near Aledo. Investigators say Brayden was riding an all-terrain vehicle when he was ejected during the crash. Emergency responders and deputies with the Parker County Sheriff’s Office arrived quickly and attempted to assist him, but he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The devastating accident happened just hours before Brayden was scheduled to participate in his middle school graduation ceremony, making the loss even more painful for classmates, teachers, and loved ones.
Aledo Independent School District confirmed Brayden’s passing and announced that grief counselors and additional support staff were made available to students and faculty as the school community struggled to process the tragedy. The district also asked the community to keep Brayden’s family, friends, and teachers in their thoughts and prayers.
Brayden is being remembered not only as a student, but also as a dedicated athlete, teammate, and friend whose energy and kindness left a lasting impression on those around him. His baseball organization, Wildcatters NTX 14U Place, shared an emotional tribute describing him as “more than a teammate — he was family,” while honoring the joy, smile, and passion he brought to the game.
The tribute concluded with the words:
“Forever a Wildcatter. Forever #10.”
Aledo Bearcat Baseball also dedicated recent victories and upcoming games to Brayden’s memory as tributes and condolences continue pouring in throughout the North Texas community.
As the investigation into the crash remains ongoing, the community continues rallying around the Martin family with support, prayers, and remembrance for a young life taken far too soon.
